Listed below is a series of guest editorials I wrote for the Moline Dispatch/Rock Island Argus newspaper.
Why aren't students more involved in politics?
My article on student involvement in politics tries to answer that question. The article contains short interviews of several 2008 presidential canidates and can be found on the Quad City Times Website.
The audio clips of responses from Fred Thompson, Hillary Clinton, Mike Huckabee, John McCain, John Edwards, and Mitt Romney are also available.
My capstone project for sociology focused on what impacts Augustana students' perspectives on the Quad City Area. It found that the more students are involved off-campus, the more they come to appreciate the area. View the full study.
I wrote a piece for a sociology encyclopedia.
I currently work in the communications office at Monmouth College. There I work on a wide range of web projects. This site is one of my first experiments with responsive web design. Try resizing your browser and watching how the page reacts to the size change. Its practical uses are for tablets and mobile phones.
Pictures to come.
In the winter of 2005 I ran for the Moline School Board. Some information about my campaign is listed below.
